With a background in mental health nursing and occupational health, I also engage in university lecturing, facilitate workshops on domestic violence and workplace issues, and provide services such as EAP, life coaching, business mentoring, and online courses for a diverse range of clients. Almost 70 % of my private practice is online and practicing in the digital space. I look forward to sharing my experience in your healing journey
I am an Art Psychotherapist, Sensorimotor Psychotherapist (Trauma: event and attachment Level 2), and Clinical Counsellor operating in private practice in Perth. My professional journey began as a registered nurse specialising in mental health, followed by experience as an occupational health and rehabilitation consultant in both industrial and health sectors. These roles have equipped me with a broad range of transferrable skills, which I now bring to my full-time private practice. As an adjunct to this, as a senior consultant in Employee Assistance Programs within Australia, I am keenly aware how our health impacts our work and the impacts of workplace psychosocial hazards/risk in employment .
My primary focus is working creatively with clients who have experienced complex trauma, medical trauma and bereavement (grief & loss). I utilise a range of therapeutic modalities, drawing on my background in mental health to inform a compassionate and integrative approach tailored to each individual’s needs.
With thirteen years of experience delivering therapy via e-therapy, I am passionate about expanding access to therapeutic services for both communities and professionals. My approach is integrative, combining behaviouralist, humanist, and predominantly psychodynamic frameworks. I have a particular interest in active imagination, dreamwork, and creative and experiential therapies, including the use of play, sand and clay in therapeutic settings.
Currently, I am an active member of the leadership group of the PACFA College of Creative and Experiential Therapy (C.CET), contributing to the advancement of creative and experiential therapeutic practices within the profession.
